Meet the Cream Team

Alright, we admit it…

We blew our loads a little early last year.

The Cream Team came into the 2011 playoffs happily seeded as the #2 favorite. We thought we had the first two rounds in the bag, and some of our players decided it would be best to “rest up” for the highly anticipated finals against The Dreamers. This caused players such as Jim “Please-No-Huck” Breez to have to “step up” and play overtime, leading such players to do what they were so aptly nicknamed for…

Still Dreaming

Yes, the beloved Dream Team is returning for one more obnoxious run at glory.  With a revamped roster (e.g. everyone is little bit older and some slightly more decrepit), the gauntlet is being thrown down to any and all challengers.  Who will step up this year?  Anyone?  Or should I say, anyone who can hold down their end of the bargain?  Thus far, the rumblings and rumors of a reunion of the debacle that was last year's Cream Team have been mild at most.  If that's the best the league can do, then it will be all Dream Team all the time this summer.

If rightful opponents could be seen in the Dream Team's future, early apologies for any beatings that will be handed out this summer might be called for.  But if the WSL minions are simply going to backdown to save face before the games even begin, then no, the Dream Team will not express any sorrow for anyone or anything that gets rundown during the march to the WSL 2012 title.

What's it going to be?
