Determining Winning Percentage:
WUDi's method for computing winning precentage is similar to that of the NCAA and the NFL
in which a tie is counted as 1/2 win and 1/2 loss. A record of 6-1-3 is scored as "6 + (3/2)" wins and
"1 + (3/2)" losses, or 7 1/2 - 2 1/2. Thus, a record of 6-1-3 is a winning percentage
of 0.750 (7.5/10) -- not as some folks believe 0.857 (ties dropped from
computation = 6/7) or 0.600 (ties counted as losses = 6/10).
Tie Breakers for Final Standings:
WUDi will use the UPA's "Tie Breakers for Round Robin" rules with a minor change in handling forfeits when determining point differentials:
- head-to-head win/loss record
- head-to-head point differentials
- point differentials of common opponents
- if more than one game was played between opponents, an average of the point differentials will be taken
- forfeits will count and will be scored 8-0
- etc...
