Meet the Misfits: The Open Saga Continues

I woke up this morning and looked at my phone and saw a text from Ryan Delaney. The text said check the WUDi website. I asked why and threw my blanket back over my head. I eventually got out of bed and checked the site. There was a new announcement saying that the Creme team was official. It ranted for a couple of pages about how Ryan is real good at Facebook, T-rich likes getting skied and Mack likes throwing Callahans. (I read in-between the lines) I am not going to write War and Peace like Delaney did but I would like to tell you a little bit about our team.

Meet the Misfits!

Joe Babbs & Tim Squared - The SUNY Cortland captains you won't find a faster duo of cuts, weaves and throws. Oh yeah they have 3 Callahans between them against Oneonta this past College Season. Let's see how many they will get this summer..

Andak Morris - Has won WSL Open the last two years. Threepeat!? When he puts on two power bands there is no stopping him! Oh he's half Japanese and Half Irish!

Rich "Money" Morin - Don't ask him about politics! No, seriously don't he won't shut up! A high school Varisty track runner he will run circles around the competition!

Kyle "Little Foot" Shea - Don't underestimate him because one foot is smaller than the other. He is and up and coming Cortland rookie and a solid defender.

Sean Laing - The master of goaltimate, kickball, freeze tag and oh yeah he's got hucks! You will see him rocking running shoes instead of cleats and a big smile on his face 24/7. Don't mess with him Delaney or he will DEFRIEND YOU!

Tom McClintock & Chris "Gio" Grenier - Two of the founders of Huntington Ultimate Summer League. Where is that you ask? It's on the greatest Island in the world! LONG ISLAND BABY! They have decided to expand their horizon and travel "North" to play some Ultimate and win a championship!

Dennis Murphy - Hofstra Alumni and Coach! He is ready to help lead the fight to take down the other two "Elite quot; Squads.

Danny Harrison & Lewis Boble - Last but not least the handler duo from Hofstra.

They plan on threading needles and throwing bombs all day!

Hold on to your walkers and your umbrellas it's going to be a bumpy ride!

- The Misfits!

Sean and I are on a strict "No Defriending" policy now. But guess who did get the axe today?!

This seems incomplete...

All the articles written about the Open Division were just about the CORES

Stefan "Step" Dicker was the Misfits sleeper pick in the 2011 WSL Open Draft! Coming off of an ACL injury people were not sure if he would be up for the challenge to compete in open. In the first two games of the season he has shown that he is more than recovered and ready to play! Helping the Misfits win against the Cream Team in Universe and defeating Gold 15 - 10. He looks to be a promising pick up for the Misfits!

When Stefan was asked what he thought about The Dream Team he responded, "I want to Sky Kenny Dobyns."

Stefan vs. Ken

6'2" vs. 5'6"

20 yrs. vs. 49 yrs.

Seriously though, good luck with that.

I'm not sure how you know so much about me but... I've got nothing but respect for KD. Is it wrong to want to match up against the best player on the proclaimed best team? Frankly, I'd like nothing more than to sit down, have a drink and listen to his stories. Maybe he can share some old school antics at half.
