Open Draft Finals Preview

Due to an unfortunate incident involving my laptop, my original Open League team overviews, while not lost, will be unavailable until after the close of the season (effectively rendering them useless).  So I've thrown together a no-frills, barebones Open Finals Preview.  Who says nobody cares about Open ?

Blue

With a couple of their top players coming back to form from injury, and the Blau all-stars back from Ultimate camp, this team should roll through the competition to reach the finals.

Chocolate

With Izzy out of town and Dasky out to lunch, Breez and co. might fall in the semis.

Orange

Expect at least a semifinals appearance from this team, with Liv and T-Rich leading the charge.

Forest

With Kruger, Lipsky, & Joe anchoring this team, they can upset any of their betters come playoff time.  However, will they show up to do so?

Red

While this team has some strong players (Furlong, Kline, Skwarek, etc.), it has not performed well against the upper portion of the league.  Handlers, stop traveling.......when it gets chippy, your opponents might turn those non-calls into flow stoppers.

Kelly

This team has a solid core, in addition to unusually consistent numbers.  However, this team has mastered the art of the “two-handed self neck hold”.  Too many drops in the endzone late in the game and handler miscues have led to a less than stellar record.  However, this team does have the potential to go deeper than expected come playoff time, if other teams show up savage.

Black

At times, this team has flashes of greatness.  Unfortunately, those flashes are few and far between.  With a roster that is light on solid handlers, this team has trouble moving the disc consistently.

White

They must have hired the same management consultants that the Knicks have on retainer, if only to prove that it is possible to draft worse than the Clippers.  Kudos.......I mean, shame  on you.  The poster child for Open league attendance issues.........if you can't fix yourself, there's very little that the powers that be can do for you.
